Recognition Terms and Conditions (T&C)
Last updated: November 2025
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) govern participation in Ethics Forum International (EFI) Ethics & Ethicality Recognition.
By submitting an application for recognition or participating in EFI recognition processes, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About EFi
Ethics Forum International (EFi) operates under the Association for Ethics in Coaching (AETHIC), a registered 1901 Not-for-Profit Association based in France.
Registration number: W381026036.
EFi convenes global dialogue and recognition around ethics and ethicality in professional practice.
2. Purpose of Recognition
The EFi Recognition Framework acknowledges individuals and organizations demonstrating commitment to ethical learning, reflection, and accountability. Recognition is granted following an independent review process conducted by the EFi Recognition Council.
3. Eligibility
Recognition is open to eligible professionals, associations, institutions, and corporations as defined on the EFi website. Each applicant must meet the specific criteria outlined for their pathway.
3A. Legal Standing Requirements
To be eligible for EFi recognition, applicants must not be currently subject to any legal proceedings related to their professional practice or conduct.
If legal proceedings arise during the review process, the application will be paused until those proceedings are resolved.
If legal proceedings arise after recognition has been granted, recognition will be automatically suspended pending resolution.
Applicants agree to notify EFi immediately if any legal proceedings relevant to their professional standing arise.
Applicants must also review the EFi Eligibility, Governance & Legal Safeguards before submitting their application.
4. Application Review
- Applications are reviewed twice yearly, in March and August.
- Submissions received before these dates are included in the next review cycle.
- All decisions of the EFi Recognition Council are final.
- EFi reserves the right to request clarification or additional evidence at any stage.
5. Fees and Payments
- All application and recognition fees are listed on the EFi website for each recognition category and may be updated periodically.
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe or another approved payment gateway.
- The application review fee is non-refundable and payable upon submission.
- If approved, a recognition and directory fee becomes payable to finalize recognition. This second fee is also non-refundable, even if the applicant later withdraws, requests removal from the directory, or discontinues use of the badge.
- Recognition remains valid for two years from the date of approval.
- Renewal follows the same review process and fee structure as the initial application.
- Applicants wishing to appear under multiple professional listings may do so for a nominal administrative fee per additional category (see current website details).
6. Evidence Requirements
Applicants must provide verifiable evidence across all required areas of the EFi Recognition Framework.
Submissions that do not address all required sections will not be considered complete.
All evidence must relate to the two years immediately preceding the submission date.
7. Renewal
Recognition is valid for two years. Renewal requires full reapplication and submission of updated evidence covering the two-year period immediately preceding renewal.
Renewal submissions are reviewed under the same process and fee structure as initial applications.
8. Use of Badge, Certificate, and Directory Listing
- Only individuals or entities currently listed in the EFi Recognition Directory are authorized to use the EFi recognition badge and certificate.
- Unauthorized or continued use of the badge or certificate after expiry constitutes misuse.
- Misuse may result in removal from the directory and a one-year delay before reapplication is permitted.
- Recognition may not be represented as an accreditation, qualification, or membership.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
EFi complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Personal data provided during application is used solely for processing recognition and maintaining the directory.
Data will not be sold or shared with third parties.
Please see the Privacy Policy for full details.
10. Withdrawal or Removal
EFi reserves the right to withdraw recognition if:
- Evidence of misconduct, falsification, or ethical breach is verified.
- Misuse of the EFi badge, certificate, or directory occurs.
- Payment obligations are not fulfilled.
Applicants or recognised professionals may voluntarily withdraw at any time by submitting a written request to efi.recognition@ethicsforuminternational.com
Please note that all fees paid remain non-refundable in the event of withdrawal or removal.
11. Intellectual Property
All EFi logos, badges, and materials are the intellectual property of the Association for Ethics in Coaching (AETHIC).
They may not be altered, replicated, or redistributed without prior written consent.
