Why Ethicality Matters

Ethics is often understood as a set of principles or standards, and as a space for dialogue.

Ethicality takes us further. It bridges knowing and doing. It is how we engage with ethics in practice.

Ethicality is expressed in how we relate, decide, and act, especially in moments of uncertainty and complexity.

As professional life becomes more interconnected and context-dependent, ethicality becomes essential. It supports responsible judgement, thoughtful engagement, and the capacity to navigate competing perspectives with care.

Ethicality is a living cornerstone we each share. It calls us to integrity and responsibility, and supports the flourishing of people, communities, and societies.

Founder

Ethics Forum International was founded by Wendy-Ann Smith, a Registered Psychologist (Australia & France) and Chartered Coaching Psychologist (UK).

EFI reflects her work in advancing ethics and ethicality in professional practice, and connects a wider ecosystem of initiatives dedicated to dialogue, learning, and recognition across professions and societies.

Organisational Structure

Ethics Forum International (EFI) operates under the Association for Ethics in Coaching (AETHIC), a registered 1901 not-for-profit association based in France.
