Membership Terms and Conditions (T&C)

Scope
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) govern membership of Ethics Forum International (EFI) and participation in EFI membership activities and benefits. By registering for membership or using EFI membership services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
About Ethics Forum International
Ethics Forum International (EFI) operates under the Association for Ethics in Coaching (AETHIC), a registered 1901 not-for-profit association based in France.

EFI convenes global dialogue and recognition around ethics and ethicality in professional practice.
1. Membership Overview
Membership of Ethics Forum International (EFI) provides affiliation with a global, cross-domain dialogue platform exploring ethics, ethicality, leadership, and responsible professional practice.
Membership connects individuals and organisations to the EFI dialogue network and provides access to a range of member benefits across EFI initiatives, including dialogues, resources, and preferential access to selected offerings.
Membership does not constitute professional certification, accreditation, or recognition status within EFI’s recognition pathways.
2. Membership Categories
EFI offers the following membership categories:
- Associate of Ethics Forum International (AssocEFI)
- Senior Associate of Ethics Forum International (SAEFI)
- Practice Affiliate
- Institutional Member
- Corporate Member
Each category provides access to specific benefits as outlined on the EFI website.
3. Membership Duration and Renewal
Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of joining and renews automatically on an annual basis unless cancelled.
Members will receive advance notification prior to renewal.
Membership benefits remain active only while membership is current.
4. Membership Fees and Payment
Membership fees are payable annually and are published on the EFI website.
Membership is managed through an automated online subscription system. Payment is processed at the time of registration and renews automatically unless cancelled prior to renewal.
Members receive a payment confirmation and downloadable receipt upon successful payment.
Alternative payment arrangements (such as bank transfer) may be available for Institutional or Corporate memberships by prior arrangement with EFI.
Membership fees are non-refundable once membership has been activated.
5. Organisational Memberships
Practice, Institutional, and Corporate memberships include a defined number of nominated participants.
Organisations nominate individuals who will participate in EFI dialogues and access membership benefits under the organisational membership.
Nominated participants may be updated at the point of renewal.
Changes during the membership period may be considered in exceptional circumstances at EFI’s discretion.
6. Participation and Access
Membership includes access to:
- EFI Global Ethics Dialogue sessions
- the EFI Library (dialogue and summit recordings)
- member communications and updates
- preferential access and rates for selected EFI initiatives
Some EFI events, programmes, or resources may require separate registration or additional fees.
7. Use of Membership Designations and Badges
Members may display their current EFI membership designation and associated badge in professional materials, including email signatures, websites, and professional profiles.
Designations and badges must accurately reflect the member’s current membership category.
The following designations apply:
- Associate of Ethics Forum International (AssocEFI)
- Senior Associate of Ethics Forum International (SAEFI)
- Practice Affiliate of Ethics Forum International
- Institutional Member of Ethics Forum International
- Corporate Member of Ethics Forum International
Membership designations and badges may not be used to imply certification, accreditation, endorsement, or formal recognition unless such status has been formally granted through EFI recognition pathways.
Use of EFI designations and badges must cease if membership is no longer active.
8. Member Conduct
EFI seeks to cultivate thoughtful, respectful, and engaged dialogue across professions and perspectives.
Members are expected to participate in EFI activities in a manner consistent with professional respect, openness, and constructive engagement.
EFI reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where participation is considered inconsistent with the values and purpose of the organisation.
9. Changes to Membership Structure
EFI reserves the right to update membership structures, benefits, or pricing as the organisation evolves.
Any changes will apply to future membership periods and will be communicated in advance of renewal.
Please note that all fees paid remain non-refundable in the event of withdrawal or removal.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of France.
